Abstract
Cloud computing for providing virtualized multi-scale visualizations for scientific, business and other applications is an enticing and exciting way in which to make available the power and usefulness of visualization to a wide user community to facilitate understanding and decision making. This talk brings together the many aspects of visualization, virtualization and cloud computing necessary to bring the ubiquitous vision of Available Visualizations to the community. Specifically, multi-scale visualizations to support scientific and commercial applications alike, the diverse needs and experiences of the viewers, and the potential to link these together through virtualization and cloud computing are described. Specific examples of our current research in these areas are presented.
